Volume/Mute Not Supported Is Displayed Instead Of The Appropriate Mixer Controls

This informational message is displayed when it is reported by the sound card driver that either Volume or Mute/Select adjustment is not possible on a specific mixer. Sound Control displays all mixers where either Volume or Mute/Select can be adjusted. If a mixer reports that both Volume and Mute is not supported it is hidden.   If the mixer you require displays a Not Supported message look down the listed mixers to find an possible alternative.  On occasions you may find a mixer may display Not Supported but further down the available list you find the mixer you require with Volume and Mute adjustment enabled.
