Volume/Mute Not Supported Is Displayed Instead Of The Appropriate Mixer Controls
The Not Supported message is displayed when it is reported by the sound card driver that either Volume or Mute/Select adjustment is not possible on a specific mixer. Sound Control displays all mixers where either Volume or Mute/Select can be adjusted. If a mixer reports that both Volume and Mute is not supported it is hidden.
If the mixer you require displays a Not Supported message look down the listed mixers to find a possible alternative. On occasions you may find a mixer may display Not Supported but further down the available list you find the mixer you require with Volume and Mute adjustment enabled.
Sound Control is not officially supported or tested using the Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 or 11 operating system. Unofficial user feedback suggests that you should follow the same instructions that have been provided for Windows Vista machines for a successful install. Failure to follow these instructions will result in either undesirable prompts each time you launch the application and/or the incorrect or no mixers being iterated resulting in you not being able to select which mixers to control.
